Using state test scores, student-teacher demographic data and more, education analysis website Niche ranked 12 Laredo elementary schools from worst to best for the 2017-18 school year.
Along with a standard letter grade, each school received a comprehensive analysis of different data including number of students, student-teacher ratio numbers and student proficiency ratings for reading and math.
Each of the top 8 spots on the list were held by United ISD schools, while the bottom four all came from Laredo ISD. No school in the city received anything higher than a “B+” grade, however.

Trautmann Middle School earned the city’s top honors with a “B+” grade, finishing as the 613th best middle school in the state. Trautmann Elementary School finished as the best elementary school in the city, according to Niche.
